Login to a Snowflake Reader Account
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for accessing your Snowflake Reader Account using your organization’s SSO login. The process may vary slightly based on your company’s SSO setup, but the general steps are outlined below.
Step 1: Open the Snowflake Login Page
1.Navigate to the Snowflake login page specific to your organization’s account.
2.Enter the Account URL for your Snowflake Reader Account, typically formatted as https://[account-name].snowflakecomputing.com.
Step 2: Identity-First Login
1.On the login page, enter your Email Address in the “Username” field, then click Next.
2.You’ll be redirected to your organization’s SSO page. (If this doesn’t happen automatically, select the “Single Sign-On” option.)
Step 3: Authenticate with Your SSO Provider
1.At your organization’s SSO login page:
•Enter your SSO Username (often your email) if prompted.
•Complete the authentication steps, which may include Password entry, 2-Factor Authentication (2FA), or Push Notification Approval via an authenticator app (e.g., Okta Verify, Duo, or Microsoft Authenticator).
2.Follow any additional steps required by your company’s SSO policies, such as biometrics or security questions, if configured.
Step 4: Access Your Snowflake Reader Account
1.Once authenticated, you’ll be redirected back to Snowflake, where you should see your Snowflake dashboard.
2.From here, you can begin querying or viewing data as per your permissions.

•Redirect Issues: If you aren’t automatically redirected to your SSO page after entering your email, ensure you selected “Single Sign-On” and try again.
